August Sugar Free Hamper Giveaway

I’ve not been eating many sweets the last couple of weeks but this hamper definitely sparked my interest so rather than buy it for myself, I thought I’d treat one of my readers to it!

You know what to do…. (but remember to answer the question in the first option or all the entries are invalid).

Win a Sugar Free Sweet Hamper

Good Luck!

Slimming World as it’s not a diet, it a way of eating healthy to help when one stops dieting (wanting to lose weight) and maintain their weight loss. So many “diets” don’t teach people how to eat when they have met their target weight and then they gain the weight back.

I don’t diet – I make small permanent lifestyle changes such as swapping out full fat milk for semi skimmed and then swapping that for 1% fat milk. Diets rarely work – sure they provide some weight loss but studies show that all that weight and sometimes more besides gets piled back on as soon as the diet ends. Dieting does not work, you need to change your eating habits permanently to get the weight off and keep it off – I’m still working towards that πŸ˜€

I’m not too big on dieting really, since a lot really just work temporarily. Best thing to do is try get a healthy balance. I have reduced a lot of the sweets and such I used to eat and that definitely helped me drop down and keep off 1 – 1.5 stone no problem… the next challenge is to get into a routine of exercise to get off that extra stone and tone up a bit (it’ s the big struggle).

One thing which is good is minimizing how many sugary drinks as their just empty calories, water is the best thing. (Not that a nice cheeky sugary drink a couple of times a week isn’t okay). I think rather than avoid foods, just cut back on how often and how much works much better πŸ™‚

I am 32 weeks into the 5:2 diet, and have lost 4st or so. I also calorie count very strictly on non-fast days everything which passes my lips, even a taste for seasoning when cooking gets added, and I only allow myself 1900 cals now on those days. It is working, but only because I am obsessive about my daily calorie journal, and sometimes it feels hardly worth all the sacrifices and denial for a tiny weight loss! However, I have had some loss every single week, so I take that as my positive when I am down.

My husband is currently doing the 5/2 diet, and though I was very sceptical about it, he’s lost 2 1/2 stone in 10 weeks and its a nice slow steady weight loss that he will hopefully maintain when he stops dieting, rather than large amounts each week that he would probably put back on.

Just cut out fats sugars and bread almost completely (just allow 1 tsp of oil or marg per day) ,and eat either pasta, rice or 1 jacket potato per day for dinner with vegetables, fish or fatless white meat.Eat as much fresh fruit as you wish and as much vegetables as you wish except avocado (thats a big no no)- eat cereal with no sugar and skimmed milk for breakfast add fruit and fat free yoghurt to give it taste. For lunch have your choice of salads with fat free dressing and fish or fat free white meat . NO sweets or alcohol. low fat crisps are not that low -dont eat them . that is how i lost my weight
